Delete your account

Where Tickets ยท Effective 17 September 2026

You can delete your account and everything in it yourself, from the app, and it takes effect immediately. You do not need to write to us or wait for anyone.

In the app

  1. Open Account.
  2. Tap Delete account, at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Read what will be deleted, then type your email address to confirm.
  4. Tap Delete account.

The same option appears on the "Your data can't be recovered" screen as Delete account and start over, for anyone who has lost both their password and their recovery code and is locked out of their encrypted data. It is the same deletion, and afterwards the same email address can be used to sign up again for a fresh, empty account.

If you pay for a plan

Deleting your account does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel it in Google Play first, or it will keep charging you. A lifetime plan is a one-time purchase, so there is nothing to cancel.

What is deleted

Everything:

This happens immediately and cannot be undone. Your documents, names and notes are encrypted with keys only you hold โ€” once deleted, nobody can bring them back, including us.

If you can't open the app

If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, write to privacy@wheretickets.app from the address you signed in with. We will delete the account and its data within 30 days. Writing from the address you signed in with is how we know the request is yours.

What is kept

Nothing. The one exception is crash reports that were already sent before you deleted the account. They contain no names, document contents, file names, email address or account identifier, and the crash-reporting service deletes them on its own schedule โ€” we cannot delete them any sooner. Google keeps its own record of any payments made through Google Play, under Google's privacy policy; that record is not ours to delete.

Our privacy policy describes what the app holds and why. Questions about any of this: privacy@wheretickets.app.
